Music Converter Pro App Reviews

Incorrect Information about the application

The information indicates that you can change the artist and album title, but you can not. I sent an email to the company and they replied that it can not change the metadata. I bought this to convert my Itunes library and change the name of artists, as I dont like the way Gracenote has multiple artists on non compilation albums. The conversion works fine, so Im giving it 3 starts, 1 off for mis-information, and 1 off for the price (10 bucks is kind of steep for what it does).

Nice app.

2 things I dont like about it is the first time you open it, it asks permission to access your contacts. Whats it gonna do? Spam my contacts? And the other, took me a while to find where to change bitrates. I first looked in preferences..

"Advanced Settings Available" - uh, no...

Only the most basic conversion settings available (i.e., bit rate). Nothing even approaching the settings of a freeware package like fre:ac.

Some FLAC dont convert

Overall the app seems to work well and user interface is good. However, I discovered after the fact that some FLAC I converted to Apple Lossless (m4a) were not playing in iTunes (no conversion errors). Unfortunately I only noticed this at a later time since I didnt go through and play every song after converting. Just a warning to other users. If this had worked flawlessly I would probably rate the app 4 stars.

Waste of money

This program will not convert .wma files to .mp3 files playable on my Mac or PC.

FLAC to iTunes

Using this without a hitch for FLAC conversion to Apple Lossless Codec m4a which one can import into iTunes and play AND burn discs. Have had no issues like others below me seem to identify. Don’t mind the $10 or so as it works and is fast. Enjoy your new vitamin pill for Audio : FLAC at High Resolution.

Very, Very Good

The app works very well for converting a large number of music files. I use it weekly, and I find it to be far more intuitive than the many cheaper priced alternatives. Worth every penny. (Now, they just need to add more metadata capabilities!)

Does what it is supposed to.

Bought this to convert Flac. and m4a files to mp3. It works quickly and easily. I do wish it would automatically set the destination folder to be the same as the source folder. But that is a very minor set back.

Music Converter Pro…NOT!

I really researched all of the Apple recommended apps and decided on Music Converter Pro…much to my disappointment. Everything I try to do is not what was expected. More difficult to run and when I tried to convert some FLAC music files to the Apple Lossless format it just plain doesn’t work as advertised. I wil try to use their support to resolve and be back to report. But so far…NOT IMPRESSED!

Total Crap

Never worked. Crashed constantly .Total waste of money. Would like to ask for my money and time back. Avoid like the plague

Forgetes I bought it

I run a studio and this app is a really quick way to get roughs to a client. IF it remembers it was purchased. You have to reenter your Apple password, and if that on a machine thats not connect to the internet, thats a big problem.

Seems to work quite well.

SO far only converted one album I have as FLAC files. Seem to read them fine, and convert them to AAC just fine, and quickly. The settings to change the bit rates, are a little tough to find right off, but seems to offer a good degree of control.
