Music Converter Pro App Reviews

Had Problems

Some songs converted propertly….others didnt…songs would list actual legnth of song in iTunes but then only play for a second or two, giving a little chirp and then moving to next song. Bought another program for 1/2 the price (FLACtunes FLAC converter) and everything worked fine. Tried to find tech support prior to purchasing new software but didnt seem to be available on web site (or was impossible to find if it was). The interface is absolutely gorgeous and simple and intuitive to use…just didnt convert properly.

Replaces metadata

Instead of only reading the metadata from the files, it replaces it with what it thinks is right. I had an album with a different artist for every track, and when converting to iTunes, it picked one artist at random and made ALL of the files have that artist. Oh, and there are no options to change the bitrate, so it encoded at 192 kbps, when I wanted 256 kbps. You call this pro? No pro would ever use an app like this, with no customization or options to make it work the way the user wants.

Eh

When converting from FLAC to Apple Lossless I often end up with a few unplayable tracks. Also, I dont like that you cannot choose what bit rate to convert to.

First Try at Converting and it Failed!

I really wanted to like this app, since the UI is so intuitive, but the first attempt at converting files failed. I wanted to convert several files to Apple lossless format, so I selected the files, specified the output format, the target directory, hit "go", and in about 2 minutes the job completed. BUT, even though the play time is correctly displayed, and the file size is large (what you would expect with lossless) the files will not play: all I hear are a couple of crackles for about 2-3 seconds, and thats it.

Does what I want it to.

I needed to convert files captured using Piezo to a format that my language flash-card program, BYKI, could use. This program quickly and easily batch converts the Piezo m4a files into wav files. Very pleased with it. Worth the price.

Nice

Works great, good price. I love it

Works great!!!!

The full version works great!!! Easy to use and works great!!!

Actually what I want

Successfully converted m4a to mp3. Fast. And most importantly, multi songs at the same time. Worth the money.

THE REAL DEAL AT A STEAL

even stupid people can use it , its IDIOT friendly!!!!!!

AAC Conversion completely failed and now AAC output file is always silent

Worked well for about 30 minutes. Ive got some nice AAC files from that. Since then, it still offers to convert to AAC, and does the work, but only outputs silent audio of the appropriate length. I want my money back..

Does not import the album confer

So i tried out this app - bought it.. It seems to convert faster then most, I have neen using Pro Audio converter, I match the files each with the same bit rate. setting the same, and what I noticed was that this app, did not sound (in most cases) as good as the one from Pro Audio Converter.. Now, it was not enough that I would not buy it base on what i found in my tests.. which was to convert both, using Identical settings on each of the two converters and the same song. I marked one file with the the#1 and one with the# 2 representing one for this converter and number two for pro audio converter I been put on a set of headphones and had my girlfriend play each file without me knowing which one was being played. I found that out of 15 tests 12 times I would always pick Pro audio converter. one other big issue for me is that oftentimes I convert from 192kbits to 64,kbits and I found that with every single conversion that music converter Pro would never import my help in covers. they are both in JPEG, or PNG and not one of them got exported so that means that exporting 1000 songs I have to go back and put every single album cover just something that needs to be addressed and something that maybe will help you so that you dont have to spend 1 hours putting all the covers back

Only low nitrate

Flac converts only in low bitrate MP3 - 192 kbps - no choice. For me useless app...

Problems with FLAC files

FLAC music files converted to Apple Lossless or AAC do not play in iTunes; they must be converted to AIFF in order to play in iTunes. Otherwise, the interface is great.

Bulk conversion needed babysitting...

I am in the process of converting my large collection from AIFF to MP3 so I can utilize a hard drive in my vehicle that reads MP3s. I noticed that this program does have limitations. Initially I attempted to convert my whole collection and all I got was a never ending beach ball. I then narrowed it down to about thirteen artists at a time (some had multiple albums) and it seemed to go to work. I often have to reinitiate the convert process because for some reason it will just stop converting. Once I click convert all goes well again and it continues where it left off. The positive is that it is converting/writing to my external hard drive for my vehicle in an identical manner from its source. In this case, I am reading from my iTunes library (I made a copy to my desktop to expedite the process). The organization and naming conventions stayed the same. I also appreciate the formats in which it will allow me to convert. I would have converted in more of a lossless manner but my vehicle only recognizes MP3 or WMA. In conclusion, it works but for bulk converting you will have to babysit.

Excellent app! Great Price!

We love it. Its simple and straightforward. Well worth the price. I recommend it...

Mr. Ed

Actually I am transferring all my music files (12 gb. ) from my Windows PC to my Apple and eveyithing is going OK. This software is doing the job perfect. Ill give five kudos. Ed

Wonderful!

This program is great! I have absolutely no complaints about it.

This work GREAT

This app works great .Nice and easy ,i do it all on my iMac desktop from iTunes

Update problem

The last updated removed the ability to convert files 3ga (samsung voice files) to mp3, I always renamed the files to mp4 and the application read and convert, just worked, now they have changed the way. Correct it quickly, I paid for the app! Or send a old version.

Really great!

I love MUSIC CONVERTER PRO - In my opinion it was worth the price… Two things would make it better: 1. Multiple Windows 2. Exporting (if possible) information from iTunes (i.e. genre, year, album cover)
